I take 1mg of melatonin most nights. I do it to help me fall asleep (it really works.) I doubt this little helps my gut, but if it does, great!

1mg of melatonin will not help your UC. It has to be taken in large doses (at least 10mg) before going to bed and you have to use the 'slow release' ones.

I ised Melatonin years ago to help me get to sleep.I found it really good.A lot better than the nasty sleeping tablets i used to have to take.
