Mesacol - information please

Hi,

I've started taking mesacol - a mesalasimine product (sun pharma). All the information with it is in Vietnamese. I've done some research and know a fair bit about it but I can't find out what it's release mechanism is. It's a red tablet - 400g. Is it exactly the same as asacol?

Also can you help me with maintenance dosage(I think 800g 3times daily) for very mild flare and maintenance dosage?

Mesacol seems to be a generic form of Mesalamine, the same drug that is in Asacol, so the dosage should be the same. Sounds as if you're on an appropriate drug and an appropriate dosage. Information on the internet is sparse, as it seems to be used primarily in Southease Asia and India.

how many are you taking daily....6 in total?

I would strongly suggest you also use rectal meds.
