I was reading in a thread about the cost of remicade, etc from someone and thought that I would pass this information along to those who need it.
Remember, your doctors office SHOULD have this information, and if it is wrong, ask them what type of programs are avalible in your areas (state, country, etc.)
Patient Assistance Programs, are through a company called Centocor Inc, (one of the forms of RemiStart) (They tend to look at your financial status, insurance, etc..) the phone number is (866) 489-5957 This is actually the one that paid for one of my infusions after I thought that I was covered but not. They will have your doctors office fill out paperwork, and you and they also look at your earnings. This is for people in the States (that I know of)
The RemiStart program that is the rebate portion (for those who have insurance but their co-pay is OVER $100 per infusion out of pocket) is 1-888-222-3771 or 1-888-324-2145, which is their helpdesk number.
***REMEMBER*** Your doctors office SHOULD already have this information, they tend to reserve it for people like me who have no other options, need the medications and can't afford it. There is only limited spots and help out there from what I was told and understand.
You will also need to get your doctors office to fill out paperwork along with you, and you have to sort of be firm with them, it's best to let the doctors office do that part for you...
