hello
my GI talked with me about this medicine
He told me this is safe drug and much beter then imuran\6mp
since I cant take imuran\6mp I think I might try this medicine although there is study about this drug
somebody know this medicine?

There is one person here who is in one of the studies and it seems to be helping him. If you do a search for golimumab, you can probably find his discussions.

Golimumab is still being evaluated for IBD, so the efficacy and safety haven't really been officially established as yet. It may be quite some time before it is approved, and many insurers won't cover "research" drugs. Other anti-TNF drugs out there which are used for UC are Remicade (FDA approved) and Humira (not yet approved, but likely will be fairly soon.)

Aye, I am on Golmumab. I have passed the first part of the trial and it helped amazingly. Sadly, I ended up on placebo for part 2, but have since been re-randomised and am now back on drug as of late last week. So now just waiting for it to kick back in.

Golimumab is very similar to the drug Humira, just made by another company.

The trial itself can be a pain though as they insist on quite a few flexi-sig's as well as the number of times you can get randomised.

If you end up on a decent dose of the drug it should work very well.
