Has anybody ever done it? I'm about to start on it in about 30 minutes. AH! Just wondered if anyone else has ever heard of it or done it.

No, don't do that because you'll remember the flavours FOREVER!!! I don't use any flavouring..did that the first time in only one glass almost 20 years ago..never since.

Here's what I do.....

Pour out your next glass....set the timer for whatever you're doing...10 or 15 minutes. That will take some of the chill out of it and be easier to drink.

When the timer goes off, take a breath in, hold your nose and drink it down without a break. OR.....if you have a straw, put it as far back as you can and drink without breathing in between gulps.

Pour the next glass....set the timer and don't look at the rest of the gallon..lol!

you're leaving it in the fridge, right...make sure you do.

Once you start going...it gets fun..lol!

lol!!! everyone said it was better to keep it really cold.... i will def try leaving it out though next time

i am using a straw cuz im not good at chugging... it seems to go faster if i keep sippin like its amazing stuff im drinkin hahaha

I try so hard but i keep lookin at the rest of it LOL

It'll only be 2 and a half hours out of your life.....and just out of spite!!! I always pour the last glass down the drain.

Keeping it cold is definitely better...plus it stimulates the digestive tract to "go"...so a double good.

Keeping it out for the 10 or so minutes between just takes the chill out of the stuff....

I've done 7 c-scopes...6 with the gallon prep....I'd take it anyday over the Fleet crap.

What time is your c-scope tomorrow?

it was at 11:15 but there was a cancellation to change it to 7:30.. which in my opinion is so much better because you don't have to go so long without eating and drinking hahaha.

Definitely....but that's very early (ugh!) you'll have to be there for 6:30 I suppose?

Are you going out for a good breakfast afterward? That's what my husband and I always do...then out for a day of shopping believe it or not!

This isn't your first c-scope is it?

its my second..... i slept afterwards... omg this hurts.... im in the bathroom now and my stomach hurts... is it supposed to initially maybe?

Seems the rumbles have begun!!! yeah, sounds normal.

I have a hand shower in the bathroom....I would go from toilet to tub to rinse to toilet...eventually your poor butt will be crying. Warm water and dabbing helped a lot....I used bland lotion to soothe between and after it was all over...hydrocortisone cream.

GO baby GO!!! lol!

You poor thing, that crap gives me some pretty wicked projectile vomiting devil   Last scope I had I told the moron doc I had that I can't get the stuff down, that it all comes back up. He said there was nothing else available. So I tried and it all came back. He was very unpleasant to my DH after the scope because apparently my system wasn't cleaned out. STUPID jerk...................

what is DH?

Yeah it's REALLY hard to get it down. I finally did though after that one time of bad vomiting. I don't know how cleaned out I am though....

DH...dear/darling husband.

Good thing you were able to do it....took a long while.

You should eventually be pooing kind of yellowish liquid...if that's it, you're cleaned out.

It also depends on if you're flaring...you might blood and mucus if that's your symptoms.

You're a trooper...

Keep us updated on tomorrow...hope you get some sleep.

wooo i remember how tender my poor little starfish was after and during prep. ouch!
horrible. i remember sitting on the couch the night before and crying cuz i didnt want to go to the toilet anymore.
thank god your done drinking it though. thats the worst.

Hahaha oh man, I would imagine that wouldn't feel great, especially if you're already burning. Ouch!!

I forgot vaseline or cream during my prep last week and maaan did I regret it. It seriously felt like the skin on my butt had been burned off.

Hey guys... I'm back from my colonoscopy... ok I was back a while ago lol. Been resting. My GI said it's still just left sided ulcerative colitis and that it's moderate (didn't feel moderate haha) She put me on steroid enemas... (dont remember what kind cuz my hubby dropped off the prescription and have to pick it up tomorrow) and she said I should be in remission within a month HERES TO HOPING! I'm nervous about enemas but anything to make me feel better.

I don't remember being in this much pain with my first colonoscopy. I have so much stomach cramping cuz of gas. They said it should be gone within an hour or two... I'll give it till tomorrow then call.

Anyways thanks for all the help guys! It is so nice having people that understand and listen!
