Traval abroad on azathioprine

Hi there has anyone got any advice/experiences on travelling abroad while on azathioprine,I'd like to go to places where hep A is advised,and I can't have that,I'm only talking about the carribean or Bahia south america two weeks in a nice hotel,not extended travel or going anywhere where you have to think about malaria,or yellow fever

I travelled to mexico on aza. I talked to my GI and got antibiotics just in case and agreed to come home immedietly if my symptoms increased. Also i didn't touch anthing that was washed in water, no ice, nothing that wasn't peeled of out of a bottle. No salads, maragritas, ect. kind of a pain but I got through the vaca with no problems. Several others on the trip got traveler's D and pretty sick but not me!!!

I would call your GI to have any meds you might need on hand. Oh my Gi told me he didnt want me to go but he knew I had to (my FIL got remarried, it was a must attend) so he just packed me up with just in case info and meds.
