Carol...24 infusions of Remicade???

Holy cow Carol....how many infusions of Remicade you need to get into remission?  My GI doctor has been pushing Remicade for a year now, but I want no parts of it.  He said it is safer than prednisone but I was exposed to the TB virus in the 50's and read where it can activiate TB and cause really bad results.  His associate even had a patient die on him after the first their first infusion...scary.

Yes, I thank goodness for Remicade everyday. It keeps me in total remission, and I feel well about 95% of the time and am able to carry on a normal and busy lifestyle (whatever normal is!) And Dawn is correct; I use it as a maintenance medication. And I'm still alive and kickin'....
