Turmeric for UC?

Has anyone tried taking Turmeric to treat their UC? I'd try anything at this point. Taking prednisone since April, long term Colazal and 6MP and cort enemas alternately with Canasa suppositories....still no results...still bleeding with urgency to "go", five or six bowel movments every morning.
