Lomotil for "D" and when asacol, colazol, pentasa doesn't work try sulfasalsazidine

I just wanted to say I've tried asacol (made me very nervous) pentasa, colozal and now I'm on sulfasalazidine and it's working better than these other I've tried. I still need a rectal med. I'm  waiting for my script to come in, but for those who feel they've tried everything try this one. It was referred to me by munchkindd from this forum. This is a great support forum. Thank you to all who's helped me numerous times in the past by encouragement, answers to my questions and comments that helped me get this far!

I'm using it.  It didn't stop watery D, at least at first, but it gave me a couple or a few hours between bathroom sessions.  Gradually the D has become less watery and had some form but that could be due to metamucil wafers, too. 

It does slow down the cramping and colon, but so did Imodium before I started this last flare.  Like Quincy said I think it makes me feel kind of out of it, too, so I only take 1/2 dose.  I've been trying to find out about side effects, because I've been having headaches and lots of mouth sores and thrush lately and wondering if it might be the lomotil.
