Need Prayers!

I am going to have to prepare my husband for his first colonoscopy.  He will be 60 in Jan and  has never had one.  He's a trooper, but I know Sunday will be interesting in getting him thru his cleanse and not being able to eat.  I have spoiled him as usual - favorite dinners tonight and tomorrow night, bought him a bag of chips for today and tomorrow.  Chips are a luxury in that he has high blood pressure and cholestrol so this is off limits for him most of the time.  But we do have to break rules occasionally!  For Sundays cuisine?  2 bottles of gatoraide, dolculax and miralax, some jello and popsicles.  No worries that he has uc, but as we all know this test is so important.  Now he'll know a little more of what we go thru!  Oh yeah, baby!

Great idea! But since my husband doesn't care for sports I'll turn up HGTV or Nature or Discovery - my hubby has masters in biology!

Yes, Elaine, you are so right and I salute you w/ being the caregiver to your husband. Of course, even when they are healthy we are caregivers to them. And of course, they to us! I quit smoking and that is what caused my uc. Last night I was ready for a cig as I have learned the nicotine helps w/ uc. However, I rested and woke up knowing that keeping my quit is the best choice to make. Let your husband know that he is in my prayers and also quitnet.com may be of help to him. It certainly was to me w/ my quit. Chances are my dh has no probs, but it's crucial that it is checked out.
