My name is Brian and I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis almost three years ago when I was 17. I tried all the medications my doctors subscribed such as Asacol, Colazol, Mesalamine and hydrocortisone enemas. I saw a Naturopath and an Ayurvedic doctor. I took a lot of different vitamins, herbs, etc. Nothing really seemed to work except prednisone. Then I went on Mercapturine (6mp) and I started to do better after being on it for the 6-month start up period. However, I still had some relapses and had to go back on prednisone. Then I found CURAMIN. I had just started another relapse and my doctor again told me to go on prednisone until my UC was under control. I did not want to go back on prednisone again since there are so many side effects. Then I heard about
Curamin and decided to try it. Within a few days I was feeling better and was able to stay off prednisone. Each day I seemed to get better and better. I had bleeding for about
six months prior to taking Curamin and even that started to get better after a few weeks. Now after 6 weeks, I don’t have any more bleeding and hardly any cramping. The only thing it hasn’t helped is my backaches, which I have learned sometimes goes hand in hand with UC but it doesn’t always respond to UC medications. I will continue to look for answers to this issue. I would recommend Curamin to anyone who has UC based on my results. I don’t know if it will help people with Crohns or not but it is worth a try. I am still taking 6mp along with Curamin but hope to be able to taper off it.
A few things to note before taking Curamin:
1 Individuals with the rare metabolic disorder phenylketonuria (PKU) need to avoid phenylalanine, which is an ingredient in Curamin.
2 Not recommended for persons taking anti-depressants, MAO inhibiters, or prescript
ions stimulants.
3 Consult with doctor if taking prescript
ion medications, particularly blood thinners and blood pressure medication.
4 Don’t’ take with ibuprofen (Advil, etc.).
NOTE: Phenylalanine can sometimes actually work as well as an anti-depressant in some people.
Of course you should always talk to your doctor before trying anything.
The ingredients in Curamin are as follows:
Curamin and curcuminoids (ingredient in the spice turmeric) This ingredient is an anti-inflammatory.
Boswellia (another herb)
dl-phenylalanine (a mixture of the D and L forms of phenylalanine, amino acid)
nattokinase (an enzyme extracted from traditional Japanese fermented soy “cheese” called natto)
Go to the Curamin web site for more information. The web address is www.curamin.com.
I hope everyone who tries Curamin has fantastic results like me. I am in remission. I feel great! I am now exercising and going everywhere I want again. I feel free of UC and healthy and happy again. I would love to hear from anyone else who has tried Curamin. Please let me know how it worked for you.
