There are over 300 recognized kinds of fungi. Yeast is only one. I was tested for it all, as well. If I had followed only my doctors "expert" advice, I would never had ventured on my own, researched and learned how fungus is implicated in many health, and never would have experimented with an anti-fungal program, all the while being discouraged to do so by my doctors. It would be, 'Wasting my time,' I think they said. It was actually my next door neighbor who told me about the benefits of probiotics, not my doctors. Did they 'hide' this information from me? No, they just don't know, and/or they're not "allowed" to recommend natural approaches. They are trained to diagnose symptoms and pass out prescriptions, not look for a cause.
Do what you feel is best, and worthy to do, for you. No one else should tell you what you must do. I guess there are no guarantees with anything, just like there are no guarantees that the meds the doctors have you on will be able to help you. But, experimenting with an anti-fungal diet is free, and best of all, no side effects, unless of course, you get well again :) Best to you.........
