It is never easy! But when it gets that close to home - it is harder.
My son, who is 44 now had an accident on New Year's Eve when senior in HS. His girlfriend was driving and my other son and friend in back seat. They did not get hurt.
A drunk young man turned in front of them and they hit him broadside. The young man laid in the snowbank while the ambulance was coming - frozen snowbank about 0 degrees. He as unconscience. My son sat with him until the ambulance came - said he couldn't see him alone. Anyway, the young man (whom my son did not know) died later in hospital. Took a while and some talking about it - that helps - for my son to understand these things happen. I met the young man's Mother a few years after and she wanted me to thank my son for staying with her son!
God Bless that family!
