Way before being dx'd with UC I had "spells" of waking up early morning - usually between 4 and 6 - sick! Nauseated, cramping, sweating, sometimes bad, sometimes not too bad. I took pepto bismal for nausea and Imoidum for D. Then I had my gallbladder out (it had to go) but did not stop these spells - just tamed them a bit.
I KNOW mornings are worse for most those with UC. Is there anything - including remission - that will stop these terrible mornings. I am 68 and need my rest and sometimes need to get out of the house earlier than noon. I am now taking one Lialda mornings and one Canasa at night. I am so sensitive to medication - even this seems like too much. However, the bleeding is less and stool seems more normal.
Ok - does everyone here have bad mornings. I am happy it is only mornings right now. But usually makes the whole day crappy when it is worse in the morning.
I have seriously bad knees that need replacing and wanted to get into remission before surgery. This morning about 8 a.m. I said (and I meant it) - I would trade never having surgery - putting up with the knee pain - the rest of my life if the morning sickness would go away!
Thanks for reading - had to get it off my chest! We planned on going out today but will have to "wait and see" if I feel good enough! YUCK!
