Hi all,

  I have a quick update.... I graduated from nursing school and passed my boards!  Working as a nurse has kept me busy!  I was taking Imuran and prednisone after failing Remicade.  I stopped the Imuran because it made me so fatigued about 3 months ago.  I can't be effective at work when I'm so tired.  My doctor understands and is willing to discuss other options.  My question is, do you have any suggestions?  I'm still on 12 Asacol a day and 5 mg of Prednisone.  I'm starting to see a little blood and am having some mucous and stuff so I know trouble is brewing.  I have an appt with the doctor on thursday 10/16.  I would like to go prepared with meds to talk about.  Any help would be much appreciated!

That level of prednisone probably isn't doing much, maybe go up to 15 or 20? It will give you energy! Blah, not a good reason to take it. But that level shouldn't be too uncomfortable. Maybe enemas will hit it too without disrupting your work. I don't have experience with Imuran.

  I'm on the 5mg dose of Prednisone trying to get off completely.  I've been on pred for almost 1 1/2 years consistently.  It seems like I can't go lower than 5 without having issues.  Going higher may give me energy but it makes me crazy and fat too!  I'm not sure what to do....
