what fiber ? metamucil or benifiber Im confused on soluable or insoluable?

I like the benifiber because you dont see or taste it but is the metamucil a better kind?
I am so confused on soluable fiber or insoluable fiber.

Actually you should have a balance of both soluble and insoluble...metamucil is a good choice, or anything with psyllium in it. The one I use with success is called Prodiem, widely available in Canada but limited availability in the US.

I eat a Metamucil fiber wafer every day - was adviced to do so from my doctor. I also take a psyllium husk.
