Over the summer I had a small sore in my vagina.  It reminded me of a canker sore like I get in my mouth.  It lasted about 3 months.  I went to my OB/GYN who tested me for herpes, it came back negative.  She had no clue what the bump was.  She was going to biopsy it but when my appt. came around, the bump was gone.  Now, here we are 4-5 months later and I have another one in a different spot.  I really don't want to have it biopsied since I don't think it's anything serious.  Does anyone else get these?  I'm thinking that since colitis is a disease that effects us from top to bottom, it's something with that.  I go through periods of getting canker sores in my mouth which I know are UC related.

Not to get personal but do you shave down there? If so, could it be an ingrown hair? Or is the new one on the inside again?

ya i got it sometimes but it goes after some days

If they resolve on their own, it doesn't sound like anything to be concerned about... unless they're causing you alot of pain or discomfort.

It's more internal so it's not an ingrown hair. They hurt and they do go away but usually it takes many weeks.

Did they check it for MRSA? I had something that was like an ingrown hair but it seemed worse, and it was MRSA. The sores tend to break out in warm spots, apparently (like an armpit). But they were like the size of a nickel, not real small. They just have to swab it to test for MRSA

I doubt it's UC related, UC doesn't affect the vagina, crohn's can with vaginal fistulas though. It may just be a cyst.
