I have been battling some weird respitory thing as well as my hubby and my MIL. It's like it's at the back of the throat to the upper respitory area. We have been having a runny nose but no stuffiness but enough post nasal drip to cause us to cough. My poor hubby is getting the worse of it and has lost his voice. I think I've been managing to keep mine under control with my allergy meds but I can tell it's still there - though I don't really feel bad, it's just annoying. So I was wondering, is there a respitory virus that is going around?

Wow, that is really weird, because my husband has exactly the same and we are in Texas. Some people in his office are sick, too. I try to avoid them all being on 6-MP and all. Hopefully I won't get it, but I can only hope.

My mom had something very similar too. She woke up one day and her uvula (the thing in the back of your throat) was incredibly swollen and sore. The doctor said it was just a virus. She ended up with a nasty cough and pleurisy after. Luckily the rest of us didn't get it.

How are you feeling today Sherry?
In my city...laryngitis is going around bigtime. I had it at the end of October, requiring zithromax.
I got it again a few weeks ago, no infection, thankfully.
My husband's got it as of Saturday (last day of work before his holidays), and now I think I'm getting it too. Apparently, the same thing is still going around in my friend's office...seems it's making its rounds quite effectively.
I see Chrstmas with just the two of us.
I hope you feel better soon and that it doesn't take hold too intensely.
Sam and Scarlet...take good care.

I don't feel bad actually. I seem to have a bit more of a sinus headache then anything else. To me it's just annoying. But we all can tell we have something, I just dunno what it is! lol
You have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays - lets hope y'all remain healthy. And Heather, I hope you feel better soon too.
