It makes my head hurt to think of all the different things to avoid (being on a limited diet means I already have more things than most people to watch out for).
Although I'm sure GMO's are a concern I am more concerned about
:
#1-antibiotics being fed/dosed to egg laying chickens and meat animals
#2-pesticides on vegetables
I spend extra money whenever possible to get antibiotic free eggs and am about
50% AB-free meat since I don't live near a health food store that sells meat.
Pesticides are harder since they are invisible. Out of sight out of mind. I have a small vegetable garden but would be dead if we had to live off it.
I think it's great that stores are becoming more conscious of these matters and offering healthier choices.
And I try not to dwell on things I can't fix and concentrate on what I CAN do, eating healthier and being grateful that my diet has given me back my life.
