Does anyone else get bothered by cold air or the drastic change in temperature? If I go outside into the cold air I feel a lot of times that I have to go to the bathroom right away. When just seconds before I felt fine.

I don't seem to get it from weather...more from anxiety, but it's understandable if it causes an increase of sensations throughout your body....especially if you're flaring.

Usually winter cold does not bother me as long as my dwelling & work places have reasonable heating. This time around, though, it has been very fatiguing, like my immune system perceives the cold weather as something to fight off! Very weird. This probably happened because I went on generic Colazal in the fall due to my health insurance requirements, but it nearly gave me a flare by December. Grrrrrrr!!!!!!! The type of cold air that generally riles my colon is super strong A/C during the summer. I try to keep a sweater or jacket handy to put on when going from 90 degrees outdoors to 70 inside-- because it takes my body a while to readjust to the A/C under those conditions. / Old Hat (nearly 30 yrs with left sided UC ... I HATE being cold, the older I get the less I can tolerate it.

I have to be careful not to get too cold. I have a tendency to go to sleep and feel too tired to get up and get more blankets. The longer I lie there, the colder I get. I end up getting sick. All of my Colitis flareups occurred in the fall after a cold spell. I've never had a flareup in the summer.

Cold makes me do that too. When my flare was worse if I went out and it's cold I had to make sure my winter jacket was zipped up or else I might not make it to where I was going hehe.

Being cold makes me angry. Seriously, I HATE it. That's why I live in Florida :D Although we did get down in the 30's recently and it was torture.
I think the reason it aggravates my intestines is because I tense up so much and all that pressure and shivering is bound to irritate what's already irritated.
I can't wait until it's summer and I can lay out in the sun again, I always felt much better after a nice sun bathing session.

I don't have a problem with cold at all. However, if I get hot I immediately have to find a bathroom, it's very bothersome as I'm a teacher and have recess duty everday.

The cold actually does bother me. I would find thta when I would go out to start my truck to warm it up I am running like a mad man back to the john. This is prolly in conjunction with the fact that I go to the bathroom more often in the mornings now than ever.
