well i prepped yesterday for my colonoscopy,i get up there this morning for the test and go to the place. then they tell me that they dont except my insurance. so i did all that prepping for nothing and starved and got a raw bottom. so now i'm gonna have to have my family doc order the test i guess. and just have it done at the hospital. just wanted to rant alittle.

Oh no! Treat yourself today, you deserve it.

Seems they could have done a better job of intervening, or at least alerting you to check for that at the place where you were scheduled.

thanks for all of your replies, red i was furious, i was like you mean to tell me i starved for nothing and my bottom is raw.i told them that i thought that it was ridiculous. and told them i was going to eat and i'd call the dr. office., called the dr. and they were like i'm sorry we should have checked that out.

Wow that is awful. I found the prep far worse than the actual procedure so to go through all that for nothing...!

That almost happened to me. My doctor's assistant told me to go to the wrong hospital for the procedure. Luckily I tend to give myself WAY more time than necessary so I had enough time to rush to the correct hospital. I was soooo worried I would miss my appointment and have to go through the prep all over again.
