uveitis - blurry eyes

i know UC can cause uveitis - inflammation of the eye, but is it possible that gradual loss of sight eg blurryness etc is just a down side of UC, rather than actually having uveitis?

I ask this because my eyesite has gradually been getting worse the past year...I have had 2 presciptions. I had my eyes tested 6 months ago and the nurse said to be aware of uveitis but not that I've got it. I dont particularly have painful eye unless I'm really tired, and I'm going for another eye test tomorrow as things like words on the TV are starting to get a bit blurry even with my glasses on.

When I am flaring, my eyes get real blurry, clear and then get blurry again. I've been to eye doctors but they can never find anything wrong with my eyes. I am thinking that yes blurry eyes are a side symptom of Uc provided there is nothing underlying. If you've been on any sort of steroid in the past be sure to mention this when you go in for your eye appointment. Steroids can cause cataracts and glucoma.

I had my eyes run trough every test last week and they can find nothing wrong. The blurred vision is due to UC, or atleast that is what they tell me.

My eyes are just as yours at the moment i have had uveitis so know what that feels like but as you say eyes are just blurry am also finding it difficult to see words on the tv and reading the paper takes a long time as eyes keep going out of focus i am flaring at the moment so i hope that eyes will settle down when flare does in the mean time good luck with your eyes and hope they get better soon
