We have done Culturelle, and are now trying Ultimate Flora(Renew Life Company, Canada)---with 50 billion cultures per capsule, 10 strains of Microflora, enteric coated. Hope it is not too much!
If anyone knows its negatives, chime in. Don't think it can hurt at this point, we will try most anything.

Don't get your hopes up. This article is kind of vague so I looked at the study. The four strains were tested on mice, so this may not be as promising as it sounds. The other mentioned getting a variety of probiotics was generally helpful, but we all knew that ;-)

hey Katmom, I just started that Ultimate Flora too! I still take Culturelle, & have added 1 Ultimate Flora Critical Care daily. I've been looking for a supplement with the bifido's & the lacto's- nothing else! That's the only one I could find with a good blend, high bifido ratio, & no soil-based organisms/bacterias. I wish us both luck!

Chester_Lampwick - Any hope is better than NO hope...it has to start somewhere...mice or man...I do not care. I don't think it is very respectable to shoot down someones hope. You act like I didn't read the article or do further research. Yes I knew it was done on mice.
