Toilet cleaning obsession?

Am I the only one that when I know anyone is coming to visit, I go over the bathroom with a magnifying glass looking for "splatter" spots I may have missed?  In around under, behind the toilet, the wall around the toilet.

I mean I clean the darn things 3-4 times a day as it is, but I become toilet obsessed when someone else is coing to visit.  After all chances are very high they will need to use the john.  Thank goodness I have 2.

Also my bathroom seat, and everything around it is all white, so any little thing stands out right away.

I make sure there are no splatters! It's gross to let people use a dirty toilet. tongue

For company...my bathroom has to be spotless....and I do clean the toilet daily anyway....but I make sure it's not spotted (as best I can),

When I was flaring, I kept those Lysol wipes in the bathroom and cleaned the toilet each time I used it. Now I clean any time I notice spots.

LOL...I clean my whole house once a week and do touch up where needed through the week, I swear the guys in my house make a bigger mess with the toilets than I do.

well, obviously I know we all clean our toilets, but I was of course referring to when we are in a bad flare and mess our toilets very badly.
I remember once getting up in the middle of the night, thinking I had to go. I got in there and just as I sat down, I passed a huge amount of only gas. So I went back to bed, without ever turning the lights on.
I got up the next day and went to to bathroom, and there was blood everywhere. The toilet, the floor, the walls.

Took me a long time to make sure I got every bit cleaned up.

That's what I am referring to.

Thank goodness I have never had that kind of mess but I would certainly clean very well before company!!

The Lialda and Canasa make me leave purple splatters, so yes, I keep disinfectant wipes and disposable toilet brushes handy and clean up at least once a day. Been there about the not realizing I made a mess and finding a CSI My Bathroom the next morning.

I never put the cleaning supplies away and the bathroom window is always open! Everytime my son uses the bathroom, I'm in there cleaning up after him...his sister is totally grossed out if she has to use it after he has been in there - he's 13 and couldn't care less what the toilet looks like!

I notice that suppositories leave marks in the toilet and I always scrub those off right away. I have to put bleach in mine a lot or I will have spatters but I have never seen the mess go beyond the toilet bowl thankfully. I have seen the mess go on the underside of the seat and that always bugs me. How does it manage to get up there? I hate when I go to my male friends homes and they don't clean their toilet. It is disgusting. I think it is disrespectful to allow company to use a dirty restroom. I take it personally. nono

Hmmm? You are making me think of my bad vision now.  Must be worse than I thought.  I used all those suppositories, enemas, etc. and never saw any stains anywhere although they warn of that.  Could be because of the different places around the world I had to "go" over the last 48 years or so.  In Japan public toilets were a hole in the floor or ground or a ditch someplace. If I gotta go - I gotta go - not sure the condition of the bathroom/toilet/loo/hole in the ground/ makes any difference - LOL!! (but I do keep my guest bathroom very clean!)

lately I don't have the splatter problem because my stools are somewhat normal. When I was at my worst, I would have to use the toilet brush at least once a day. I am pretty neurotic though.

In my house my husband uses the upstairs and I use the downstairs. Since I'm a girl I never lift the lid up and never really thought about what all could be getting under there... until I lifted to vomit one time. Now I am crazy about lifting the lid and checking under it if a guy is going to be visiting.

I was also obsessed about cleaning the bathtub. I couldn’t clean it. I have ordered a professional cleaning company and already I have less problem with it.

I will let my personal toilet get a bit spotty between cleanings. Just too busy. But the guest toilet is another matter. Also, if I stay at anyone's house, I pack wipes.

What I hat the most is not poop-stain, but purple stains from urine with mesalamine. They are bleach resistant.

I clean bathrooms once a week. The toilet gets a good look after every use though. I keep baby wipes on hand and use them to get the speckles. Towards the water on the inside of the bowl I just use more toilet paper. I definitely don't want it to be seen.
