Lialda at night?

Does it matter what time I take Lialda?  My doctor said to take it in the morning but I take all of my other meds at night so I keep forgetting to take my morning med.  Plus, because Lialda is still new to me, I haven't figured out if it causes problems for me throughout the day so I'm always hesitant to take it in the morning when I have places to go.  Last night I took it at night but I was curious if there's a reason for taking it in the morning instead.

I don't take Lialda, but I've read a lot about it, and I can't imagine why it would matter if you take it at night or in the morning. Maybe call your pharmacy?

When I started on birth control years ago, I stuck a note on my bathroom mirror (I kept it in the bathroom) that said "Take your pill!" If you do need to take it in the morning, put a note somewhere where you'll see it and put the medicine right there, too. It really helps!

I didn't see why it would matter either. I guess my biggest issue is that I end up forgetting because I put off taking it until I know if I have to go somewhere. By the time I figure out what I'm doing for the day, it's too late. lol. It also says to take with food and I rarely eat breakfast. I tried it a few times on an empty stomach and it didn't bother me.

Interesting enough I have experimented with this. I typically am quite regular in that I am a "morning person". I found information that it takes Lialda 7-12 hours to reach full potential. I had the bright idea to start taking it in the evening because I was seeing little if any results. While I have only been doing this for about a week, it seems that it may be getting better. I have been taking them around 5-6 PM every evening.

You can take it whenever you want to - doesn't matter...
