Recently, my 15 year old daughter had a physical. Blood results showed she had a high antibody count. The titer count is over 1:1000. More specific blood tests were done to test for more specific autoimmune diseases. Doctor said all tests were negative, and since she is not experiencing any symptoms of sickness she only recommends we keep this in mind for the future.Does anyone have anymore information on this high antibody count? Has your daughter been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis? I don't know much about this test other then I have a high ANA myself but then again, I DO have auto immune issues. I'm not sure where else to direct you if your daughter doesn't have UC. You can always google this to see if it helps.

Hi..was your daughter having other problems as to why the test may have been done?

Do you have a list of the other tests that were done?  It might be in your best interests as well to get a copy....for future reference as well as knowledge through research as to why they'd be done.

Mine is very high as well....but I have autoimmune liver disease associated with UC, and other tests were done to either confirm or negate whether there was something else going on or whether it's related to the liver. 

It's freaky sometimes to realise what all goes on in our bodies.

The high antibody count was found during an annual physical. A therapist had diagnosed her with depression, and requested we get a full physical, during which the high antibody count was detected. Thank you!

I have UC, and used to have a high ANA counts as well. At first they said I had Lupus, but when I switched to a gluten free diet (and the ANA counts normalized) they thought it was Celiac. Turned out to be neither, but I was asymptomatic for years before being dx'd with UC.

Also, is she an athlete? Could she be overtraining? The inflammatory response to heavy exercise can trigger arthritis-like symptoms in some people, and concurrently raise ANA counts. Some drugs can have the same effect.

In general, I don't think you have anything to worry about right now ... low stress and a healthy lifestyle are the best things she can do.
