Does anyone know exactly what this means? Is this the same as remission? I thought if you were in remission there wouldn't be any evidence of colitis at all.

My GI said my UC was inactive at my last appt. based on my blood work. He said my inflammation numbers were normal. I believe it's the same as remission, I should have asked him to clarify.

Mine is based on a biopsy. I wonder what it means? I've never heard the term active or inactive.
