CT Scans

I think some people were saying this test was better than the upper GI which is the test you have to drink the Barium for. A CT just is a drinkable non-flavored contrast.

I had to drink a clear, pink liquid that I think was some sort of contrast mixed with Crystal Light. It tasted fine. My only problem was I had to guzzle two big glasses of it as quickly as possible. I also had the IV contrast which gives you a warm, flushed feeling - the tech said I'd feel like I peed my pants. It was odd, but not unpleasant.

Duh! You guys are totally right. For the CT I had to drink the crystal light type stuff and for the upper GI series I drank the barium and had these stupid crystal things. I had them both the same day and it was so long ago that I get them mixed up! :)
