Tapering question

I was on 10mg of pred a day which I had been tapering down from 40 then I was hospitalized and they put me on 60mg for 2 days and gave me a dose pack. At the end of the dose pack I'll be at 4mg for one day - should I then go back to 10 or jump to 5 and stay there for my final week? Now I'm all confused!

I'm kind of confused. Usually, when you tapper off prednisione, you take increasingly lower dosages until you are no longer taking any. And if you are doing well, why would you want to increase your dosage? What does your GI say?
