Skin tag removal

During childbirth, I managed to give myself some pretty big hemmies.  Then, during my "first" flare (the one that mostly cleared up by itself in December), they got really, really, really bad.  One of them was gigantic and hurt like a mo-fo.  I manged to get them shrunk down during the few weeks I was ok in December and kept them small during the "second" flare that started in January by using cortisone cream.  However, now I have a couple of skin tags, one of which is pretty large.  They don't hurt, but they are annoying and hard to clean around.  I also worry about getting hemmies there again and I've read they are worse when they come back after a skin tag.

Has anyone had skin tags removed?  If so, what was the procedure like and how painful was the recovery?

I have one too, like I can squeeze it and it doesn't hurt, but it sticks out like a alien antenna, is this a skin tag??? I can sometimes push it up but it normall hangs out a little, it's embarrassing. I go to the rectal doc the beginning of June I will hope he can just numb the sucker and cut it off. If only it was that easy, is it???

I have one and my doc said if it didn't bother me then leave it alone, because cutting it can cause pain (even though it doesn't seem to have any nerves) and potential problems. So it stays! I just have to move it out of the way when I used an enema.

I don't get hemmies, I think it is just from straining or something.
