Back from dreaded scoping. First in 8 years and never will I go that long again - too much fear of unknown.
My new GI told me my entire colon was inflamed, and was suprised at this given my mild symptoms of a couple of BM's in the morning. Maybe the prep is to blame? What sent me over the edge was the fleet enema this morning - - never throughout the 2 days of drinking the cit, magnesia did I have cramping, bleeding, pressure in the bowel, etc but once I did the enema it was ugly - blood, mucous, etc.
My GI did 13 biopsies (uncommon this many?) and removed 2 polyps. Said he didn't see any tumors (my biggest fear going in). Said there were some areas with some "bumps"? Is this inflamation or what's called inflamatory polyps?
Said he would get back to me in a couple of days (is this sooner than normal?) . the results of the biopsy will be back Wednesday, but he said I would probably hear from him sooner (reason for alarm??).
Thanks to all you folks on this group for offering your advice along the way.
