NO STEROIDS!!!
The bleeding has subsided and the pain is lessened. This flare was worse than the last one. If this keeps up it will be my second remission without prednisone. It started last Saturday (so 10 days). I took ideas from this forum and I think it really helped. I increased the probiotics (20-30 Billion with each meal), started taking fish oil (2g/day) in addition to the asacol, and started watching my diet a little more carefully. Yesterday, I ate: organic oatmeal, banana, organic microwave rice/peas/carrots (Amy's), whole sweet potato, lean steak, organic pear juice. The day before I ate: homemade organic carrot/celery/bell pepper juice, lean ground beef, organic currant and pear juices. The day before that, I think it was an apple, organic yogurt, lean ground beef, plain baked potato. I have also been staying very still and resting. I think I will try and go to work this morning!
