Unisom/sleeping pills

Quick question. Are sleeping pills such as unisome that contain Diphenhydramine HCI harmful to the colitis?

It doesn't bother me any. I have chronic insomnia and I take Tylonel Simply Sleep and have for the past 4 years. It hasn't affected my Uc in one way or the other.

I take Benadryl, which is the same drug, without any problem.

If you don't take sleeping pills, are you up a few times at night to use the bathroom? I used to be afraid that if I took them I would sleep my way thru an accident! I do occasionally take Tylenol PM but very rarely- it doesn't seem to help like it used to.

I took zopiclone while on pred as i was not sleeping have stopped pred and still can't sleep.

I took Unisom without any problems, but not on a regular basis.
