It didn't look good. My whole colon is affected and the doctor referred me to a surgeon. He said there is no point in continuing the Remicade and I have to stay on the Prednisone until I have surgery. I don't know that I can really have the surgery, but I can't continue on Prednisone. I just don't seem to have any good options and it sucks :(

I hope you'll visit j-pouch.org to learn about the surgery, and communicate with some of our fine members who have had surgery. I truly have never talked to anyone who regretted having the surgery when it was needed.

I'm sorry it's come to this for you, but just think - you soon may not have UC any more.

In the meantime, be kind to yourself and ask for help if you need it.

At this point, I want the surgery. It's just a very difficult time for me to have it done, but I can't see going months more on prednisone either
