So I get to the hospital this AM for my Remicade. They get the line in, order the drug, then go to my vitals- my temp was 99.4. Nothing big... I have been feeling "blah" the past few days, headachey & tired, but figured it was just the heat. But they wouldn't do the infusion- luckily they were able to cancel the pharmacy order before they mixed it. I rescheduled for next Tuesday- the nurses told me to take it easy, drink lots of fluids, take Tylenol, & if nothing came up by the wknd I should be fine by then. So off I go- now I'm going to nap, as my daughter is already off at the beach for the day with my sister & her kids. I'm glad, I suppose- last time I felt "blah" for an infusion I wound up with strep pneumonia, in the hospital ICU for 5 days. It makes me think though, how much longer can my poor body maintain on these meds? I mean, how bad can a perm ileo be? Sick of it all!
