bleeding after amusement park rides?

Hi! This seems little wierd.. I went to six flags day b4 yday and today morning i saw bloody stool... I sat in almost all the rides (mostly roller coasters).. i feel perfectly normal except that there is always an urge (light ones) to go to toilet (poo)...

has this ever happened to anyone before? is it normal? confused

I saw that everyone has written when they were diagnosed with UC and where...
I was diagnosed with UC in 1999 (10yrs back).. and I am 25 yrs old..

Never had that happen before but I suppose if you were already in a mild flare it could aggravate things to ride on roller coasters.

Did you eat any of that "great" amusement park food? If I've got a bit of inflammation in there, that would do it to me.....

I think a lot of people who don't even have UC, can virtually crap themselves on some rollercoaster rides! smhair

There is a strong mind gut connection so even though the rides are fun, it also causes surges of adrenaline which can cause some grief if you already mildly inflammed.

I'd say you're flaring as well unless you have hemorrhoids.

It's not the food.

What meds are you on physicsisnice?

i m on asacol 2 tablets, thrice a day...
bt since last 3-4 weeks, i havent been having them regularly...so maybe it is a flare..
thnx for the help wid d signature...

You need to be on rectal meds as well....please call the doc, make an appointment or request them over the phone.

Of course I always suggest the retention 5ASA enemas....Rowasa if you're in the US...or Salofalk, Pentasa or Asacol if you're not.

You're welcome re the siggie.

Keep us posted as to how you're doing....don't wait regarding your flare, however.

Not wierd at all.

I used to figure skate. The bleeding was always worse afterward. I'm sure it was atttributed to the spinning and jumping. Some skaters can spin so fast that blood will come out of their finger nails.

More blood flow, better blood circulation, more blood coming out the ulcer(s).

Imagine having a bad cut on the top of your finger. Hold your finger up above the heart with the cut facing upward, the blood flow should decrease. Hold your finger below your heart with the cut facing down, the blood flow should increase.

I can't even think of getting on rides anymore i get bad bad cramps and you can bet the diarrahea is going to start ! Its not pretty at all lol
