Hydrocortisone Actetate and burning?

Today I picked up my prescription from the pharmacy of hydrocortisone cream for my hemmies.  It has an applicator, which I'm grateful for because I have hemmies that are both on the inside and outside.  I have never used any sort of prescription strength meds for hemmeroids so I don't know if this is normal or not.  But anyone that has hemmies and have used prescriptions strength medication, is it normal to feel a burning like sensation?  It's not a bad type of burn where it feels like my tush is going to fall out or anything.  Just a bit uncomfortable.  Maybe I am just a bit tender in there........

     Haven't used a prescription med for hemmies but today I bought Walgreen's brand of hemmroidal suppositories.  I didn't use them yet.  My GI's nurse told me to buy Anusol but they are prescription and no one called in a prescription for me.  The pharmacist told me the store brand is just as good..lol.

     The last two times I inserted Canasa they burned.  I haven't used them since!

When I could take Canasa, I can say YES those burned pretty bad for me too! I think it depends on how sensitive you are in the inside or "raw". It eventually got to a point where I started to feel numb when I used them. I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or bad thing at the time! :)

Luckily the burning didn't last long. But I have to use this cream 3 to 4 times a day. I felt better after the burning and for a change I didn't feel much. But now the discomfort is back to I guess it's time for another application. :(

Hi..it's possible. How about calling the doc for proctocedyl ointment/cream for the same way of application. It has a bit of a numbing agent in it. But it NEVER has burned.
