Hey Q,
No, I'm not on any rectal meds at this point.. my GI says that since the PRed is systemic, I don't really need the rectal stuff until I Start tapering again and then if the bleeding returns... AGAIN..., instead of going back up on the Pred, I'm to add the Rectal Entocourt at that time... So, I'm back on 40mg for 2 days now and still some bleeding.. Gosh, I hope I don't have to go up any higher than 40 to get it to stop this time.. I'm so tired of all this and I feel like I'm going crazy!!!!
Also, yes, I'm hoping that the Humira is my saving grace.. it's pointless to put me on a drug like 6MP or Imuran, since even the steroids aren't keeping me in a good remission at this point... all those drugs do is act like steroids without the horrendus side effects of pred..... So Onto the Biological meds I go... woo hoo.....
So everyone...Cross your fingers, I have to call my Insurance Company tomorrow.. it looks like they will cover the Humira, but I have to use some mail order pharmacy thing, I can't just use the pharmacy down the street.... I just want to get going and get better once and for all~~~!!!
Oh and I'm also thinking about going back on some type of anti depressant... This looooooooong flare has really been getting to me and maybe something like wellbutrin might help me get out of this FUNK I seem to have gotten myself into...
Plus, wellbutrin is easier to get off of than Paxil, Zoloft or Effexor type of drugs...
OH and P.S... My horse is fine.. He had some type of Spastic Colic. Vet came out and gave him a shot to settle down his intestines... I guess a lot of horses around here have been getting that type of colic in the last couple of weeks. I'm thinking it's the change of weather... even the slightest barometeric pressure change can bring on colic in some horses.. Man... If it weren't for horses Feet and intestines, they'd be practically indestructable~! LOL
