Results from flex sig

I talked to my doctor after the flex sig today. He said there is definitely still inflammation for as far as the flex sig extends. He doesn't seem to think it is UC though. His best guess, pending biopsy results is some kind of diverticular disease. He suggested one more round of antibiotics then consider surgery to removed the disease portion. I am afraid and frustrated and really ready to have some answers. I will call Monday for biopsy results and he will discuss options then. Surgery is not an option I want to explore at this point because I have already been told it will be complicated by several previous abdominal/pelvic surgeries. I really feel like I am running out of options and still don't have a firm answer for what the problem is. Thanks again for letting me vent.

If I had diverticular disease and that part of my colon could be removed...I'd go for it.

Seek other advice from anorectal surgeons possibly.
