Is it a flare up? Looking for support.

I think I am having a flare up, but I have no blood. Over the last 2 months I have had aches in my shoulders and wrists, then I had eye inflammation over the last 2 weeks. I had problems falling asleep and for the last week have been waking at 5:00, with sweats and chills and have become really depressed. I was diagnosed in 2007, spent a month in the hospital. I've been to see the doctor, have had blood work done yesterday, stool sample went in today, have had diarhea for the last 4 days, can't remember when I last had a normal bowel movement. I just found on internet yesterday that the muscle aches and eye inflammation are signs of a flare up. I was taking 4 400mg of 5 asa and now have been put on 2 Mesalazine XR 1.2g. So my question is can it be the UC or something else, do others suffer from depression like I am doing. Just looking for a little support. I really did nothing diet wise to control the colitis, am wondering if I did something to bring this on. Am spending my days laying on the couch, just wanting to cry and scared/depressed about being there for my kids in the future.

Wait, you're only on four asacol?
Yeah, I'd see what the tests say before you do anything drastic, and in the meantime changing your diet may help.
And maybe try to do something about that depression, to me, four days of diarrhea shouldn't have you so messed up. Good luck!
