Safe snacks while watching my Yankees win tonight

While watching the baseball playoffs and having a somewhat never ending flare[constant-D for months,once in a while a somewhat normal stool,little blood in the morning,at least 5 BMs per day] i'm being careful what i snack on and how much.I've gone to Trader Joes,they carry gluten free Potato Chips,Pretzels,Popcorn.So i eat a small bowlful of one or two of these and it doesn't make my flare any better or worse,now if the Yanks lose tonight i better relax or my flare will get worse.GOOD LUCK TO ALL. [100MG OF 6MP-10 MG OF PRED-9 ASACOL PER DAY,400MG each-folic acid-multi vitamin-buspar for anxiety-took alot of gluten out of diet-praying,meditating]

It's not really baseball food, but toss some apples in a pot with some sugar, cinnamon, and maybe a bit o butter and cook til soft. Yum.

Oh! I used to snack on rice crispies treats when I was flaring. You can buy them or make your own. Or if your trader joes has tortilla chips you can have, get those and mush up an avocado with some spices (and tomato/onion if you can tolerate them) for some tasty guacamole.

Now I'm craving avocado. Thanks.

     HEY..whatya mean Yankees win???  Phillie fan here...GO PHILLIES.  Hate to admit this but the Yankees are a better team..lol.  My husband and I think the Yanks lost on purpose because they wanted to win the Series on their own turf.  It's all about $$$$$$$!!!  Have no idea why Victorino was taken off the field the other night...bad judgement.

Go Phillies! Yep, we couldn't believe that Victorino was taken off the field either. My husband almost went through the TV...he sure misses Philly.

     Carol...did he live in Philly?  I grew up and still live in south Jersey but my husband worked for Temple University for 34 yrs.

He was born in upstate New York, but spent most of his childhood and young adult days in Phoenixville, PA...right outside of Philly (and his parents live in the same house!) But he's a Philly guy inside and out! He went to Widener. His family is still back there; we'll probably go back in January/February to visit. Yeah, not the best time of year, but we try to go back around his Dad's birthday in Jan., and then around his Mom's in August. ;-) I have to say that of all the cities I've visited so far, I just love Philadelphia. The people were so warm and friendly there and we had a great time in the city.

Not gonna happen-the Yanks will do it tonight.Remember we have some form of a bullpen,you know that Mariano guy-he's pretty GOOD.The Phillies have very little in there pen,also we have crushed every closer,Nathan,Feuntes,Lidge.I don't want my colitis to go thru a game 7 so we will win it tonight[I-HOPE]GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR COLITIS-NOT YOUR PHILLIES.

Great series,i usually love to eat and eat on big sports occasions,i was very responsible not stressing out my digestive system during the playoffs.Hopefully we all get our colitis under some form of control.YANKEES ARE #1

Pop corn has always been VERY bad for my son who has colitis. I suggest the apple chips at Whole Foods which are dried apple pieces without anything added. They taste really good. Almonds and berries are great if you can tolerate them.

     Thought the Yankees lost on purpose the last game they played in Philly.  Yep, they wanted to win in the new stadium.

     Carol....I agree, get rid of Manuel.  I know Victorino had an injured finger but he was arguing with Charlie Manuel and wanted to go back and play.  I think if he were in the outfield he would have caught that ball and it may have been a win for the Phillies.

     Oh well, always next year.

We thought the same thing Christine! Victorino was arguing with the coach that there was no glove out there...and yes he would have caught it and the Phills would have won the game. Such is life...I will say that the Phills and their fans have a lot of heart and are a treat to watch!

Just wanna say i wasn't "flaming" anyone. I was just voicing my opinion about the Yankees. It was all in good spirit as well!

Anyway, congrats to the yankees. In all honesty, how could they not win it this year? They went out and got the top two free agents to an already talented team. I just hope my Twins resign Mauer and a few of their prospects can turn into stars so I can witness a World Series in my lifetime (too young to remember 87 and 91).
