So are you gearing up for Olympics madness?

I live just a bit south of you in WA.  When I first heard about the Olympics coming to Vancouver, I thought it would be fun to try to get tickets.  Then I thought about how much of a madhouse the border crossings would be, and reconsidered the idea!

I'm not ack but my parents were on an Alaskan cruise at the end of August and they stopped in Vancouver and they said it really started to morph into an Olympic city (and I ended up with a t shirt :) )
Fruitgirl I thought you were in Madison, WI? Am I mistaking you or just behind lol

It is going insane here! It is going to be a major nightmare come February. I am SOOOOO happy I don't work anymore. They don't want ANYONE to drive downtown while the games are on. They are telling people to take vacation during that time... easier said than done! I used to work in an industry where the busiest time of year is February and no one is permitted any vacation time during that month. My husband also has his busiest time in January & February, he works 7 days a week, long days at that. Can't work from home. We live within walking distance to the commuter train (West Coast Express), so he will take that but everyone and their brother will be lining up to take it. Ugh I feel so bad for him... but at least it's not me! ;)
