Well today i had my monthly visit to my Gastro,got some good news.My blood work was good[i'm on 100mg- 6mp-10mg-pred] my doc said that the blood test can tell what the level of imflamation in the colon is,mine was .9[can anyone enlighten me on this a little more].So he increased my 6mp to 125mg,and decreased my pred to 7.5mg.So i've been on 6mp for 14 weeks and it seems to be working,VERY SLOWLY,which is the way it is supposed to work.I'm 6-5,220lbs so i know the 6mp can go up.I'm still seeing some blood in the morning and i have D most of the time,i had a normal stool today[let's have a party-MAYBE NOT]which seems to happen once a week.So it's a work in progress for all of us-GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL

i think my last inflamation test was like 2.8 or something...so that number does not seem too bad....hope the 6mp works great for you, i took it for a couple weeks, but my condition was so bad that i did not have the months needed to see if it would work, so i was fast tracked to remicade which was one week ago and has turned my life around. i think the blood test in called a crp c reactive protein or something that measures inflamation.

C Reactive protein is a test for inflammation but can show flase negatives so be careful

     My C reactive protein was always normal even when I was in my worse flares.

I don't know what it means... when they did a bunch of blood tests on me trying to diagnose me, they all came back normal. I hope the 6mp continues to help you improve!
