I'm working with a dietitian and a trainer to try to put some healthy weight on. I've been at it a couple months, and in the last month I actually lost weight. I've been eating around 3,000 balanced calories a day like the dietitian suggested, so we were a little surprised at my weight loss. My colon always seems to flare in the fall, and it's doing that again this year. Anyways, do UC patients generally find they need to eat more food than a normal person just to maintain weight? Is there anything that helps with food absorption?
Thanks,
Zach
