My daughter works at the cosmetics counter at sears (right at the front of the store) and apparently a man was walking into her store (through the mall doors) and making his way to the mens washroom all the while throwing up and having D comming out of him...apparently he made quite a mess of a trail to the washrooms and more of a mess in the can as well...don't know what was up with the poor fellow, could have been an IBD issue or a bad gut bug but my daughter had nothing but sympathy for him (since she knows what a horrible thing it is to have an IBD with me being her mom, and she's been having some of her own gut issues) while everyone else in the store was making rude remarks about this poor fellow. My daughter (so proud of her) quickly spoke up and said you never know if it might happen to you guys some day, obviously the guy isn't feeling well so how can you say such shameful things...then one of the girls spoke up and said "he should have stayed at home then", my daughter snapped at her saying "maybe he was feeling okay before he left home, you never know when an attack like that is going to hit you".

Some people eh!

lol, great thread! glad to know we're not alone in the SYP club :) luckily most of my accidents have been small -- used to be sometimes when i sneezed, i would lose it. lately, this flare has been pretty bad and it's just really random. i use the always infinity overnight pads and have a stash of the always clean wipes in my purse. i tend to get stuck leading conference calls at work and every once in a while, an accident is unavoidable. i used to get upset, but now i just have to laugh.

i try to go pre-emptively, about once an hour on bad days, to hopefully avoid surprises. so far, so good.

the last time i took a flight, i wore depends underwear just in case, and packed extra. i didn't know what size to get, so i got extra large ones, that were actually fairly enormous. wouldn't you know, that is the bag that had to be opened and searched by security. the TSA agent looked quite puzzled, but I assured her, yes, that was my bag.

My screen name say’s it all, it started out with having to fart and that turns into a shart, find a restroom cut the drawers off , toss them and go commando. After 12 years with this horrible condition I’ve learned a thing or two. I know carry a bailout bag everywhere I go with new underwear and pants and wet wipes and some body spay. I also have a little creation that I carry, a small brown sandwich bag with some toilet paper and wet wipes folds up nicely and put fits nicely in your back pocket for those times in a parking lot between cars or where ever the SYP hits you(maybe I could market it)
