im in my usual christmas bout ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,my prednisone and hyrdrocort enamas expired in aug,,is that ok? they are so expensive

They should be perfectly safe. I'd say try them; if they work you should know quickly and if not, then you can call the doc. The medication shouldn't break down in that period of time, so the only thing would be if they've lost strength.

There is no way for anyone to tell you your medicine is okay without knowing how they were stored from being manufactured (humidity, temperature and light all usually effect the shelf life). I would guess that the medicine is okay for at least 3-6 months after the date if you've properly stored them. That's the engineer in me talking because we usually put conservative dates on products to account for worst case conditions. Some medications do chemically break down so fresh is always better in my opinion.
