No side effects here thankfully. Sorry you're not experiencing the same.

No one ever listens to this because it isn't what they want to hear, but be very cautious of any advertisement or site using the term "cure." The only real cure for UC at this time is colectomy. Short of that, it may be controlled, but not cured.
So the person who implies he can "cure" UC is a liar before you even read any further.
Good luck to all with whatever they decide on.

I felt kind of icky for the first week or two but was fine after that. The only long term thing I noticed was that my hair, which is straight as a board went kind of wavy.

I felt like total crap-ola for about
3 months, dry heaves in the morning if I didn't eat, tired a lot. It was seriously like morning sickness! I even took a pregnancy test at one point, LOL. I've been on it for 8 months now and can truthfully say that almost ALL side effects are gone with the exception of the fact that I do need to have something on my stomach in the morning or I'll feel queasy (I take it at night). Oh, and my hair fell out a lot in the beginning but that side effect seemed to stop one day out of the blue too. I guess your body just gets used to it after a while. If you can stick it out in the beginning it will get better!!

No problem Tazbum, but just so you know I am not on messenger that much and when I am, I'm in stealth mode! :)
Yeah, I felt nauseas in the beginning too and then had random nausea after a year. My GI told me that if it gets worse just to let him know and he would prescribe an anti-nausea med. I've been on it 3 years now and now I don't have the side effects. I take that back, I do tend to more tired then normal but nothing that interfers with what I am doing. Also, since starting 6mp I get a little bit more sensitive to the heat in the summer.

Been on it 5 months,i'm also on prednisone about
7 months. The only side effect i feel is fatigue, although it could be a side effect of the 6mp,it's also a possible side effect of the prednisone[down to 5 mg-started at 4omg].I started taking both in the morning and by the afternoon i was exhausted,so i switched to taking all meds at dinner/bed time, been much better-good luck.

Thankfully no side effects here...been on it for a year and a half...started at 50mg, went to 75 and now I'm at 100mg.
