first day off steroids

Slept all day long... any coincidence with it being my first day off steroids? I dropped from 2.5 to 0 and I'll take 2.5 tomorrow.

That is great! I mean being off the steroids, not the sleeping all day. I can imagine how sleep deprived you must be, I haven't had a good nights sleep in weeks! I hope you continue to feel better.

thanks, notsosickly girl. I feel much better, tomorrow I take 2.5 but the next day 0, i'll do this til sunday... I think all the sleep was due to taking nothing, let's hope so, because i got plenty of sleep last night (with klonopin though)

No it isn't a co-incidence, even a small amount of pred will keep you awake.I hope this means your heading to remission. I've been off steroids for 2.5 weeks now( cos they weren't working) and i notice a big improvement in the quality of sleep i get. I have also noticed that i'm a lot more pleasant to be around, them steroids can really mess your head up.
The only downside is that i'm flaring bad and the tiredness and fatigue can wear you down, the steroids always made me a bit hyper :)

I hope you get to feel great soon

I'm sorry you are flaring, Marty, and that the pred did not work...

I'm on 2.5 to 0 to 2.5 to 0 for a week then 0. Today I took 2.5 and I'm up and not tired.

Good luck with the taper and getting off completely! That is a nasty drug. The only medication that has ever truly affected me. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
