The low carb Atkins diet did not seem to work for most people (like me), but a few did lose significant weight at least temporarily. So his advice for IBD patients probably will not work for most, especially since gastroenterology is not Dr. Atkins’ specialty.
In page 85 of his book, Dr. Atkins’ Vita-Nutrient Solution, he recommends 900 mg of pantethene along with 900 mg of pantothenic acid to help bring about
remission of Crohn’s and colitis. Here is an excerpt:
