Got a letter in the mail from my GI's office reminding me it's time for my colonoscopyyyyy!! Like I needed a reminder. eyes This will only be my second one. I absolutely dread the prep. But, I am curious to see what things look like in there this time around. Last time my GI said my colon was "very angry". He gave me 15 pictures and a 3 page report to prove it. I think my colon isn't so angry anymore. We'll see, I'll probably schedule in Feb. Can't wait...kidding! devil

Anyone else have a scope coming up?

My third scope is scheduled for Feb 5.  Can't say I like the prep too much myself although my second one was just sig so the prep wasn't too bad.  The one coming up is the "full meal deal"....two days of liquid diet and a very sore bottom.  The worst part for me is I can't do the prep in my own home as my GI is a four hour drive away and I have to be at the hospital by 8am.  I usually stay with my best friend but I am making my husband come this time and we will be staying in a hotel.  Not looking forward to that very much but it will be a relief to have it over with.

     Having my fifth or sixth coming up on the 2nd of February.  I had loads of sigmoidoscopes though.  The only prep for a sig is the two fleets enemas a few hours beforehand. 

     The prep for the colonoscopy is the worse.  They put me out for the scope.  I usually take the Nulitely.  This time the doctor asked me if I wanted the miralax.  I never did that one before so think I will just stick with the Nulitely.  I usually eat very lightly, mostly fluids for two days before the prep, then I don't have to drink the entire amount...only about 1/3 of it before clear liquid starts coming out of me.

NO! Thank goodness but I do go in every 2 years now that I'm over 10 years. Usually I have to remind him that it's that time. The prep is by far the worse thing out of the whole ordeal. I hate hate hate the prep! I've had sooooo many scopes that I feel I could do them myself! :)
